Note: The following newsletter from December 5th, 2022 was transferred over from the old BSTC website which was before this new site was uploaded.
Hello Members! As the year nears its end, the Beech Street Theatre Company has some information about our upcoming events in 2023.
For starters, we have a new online look coming soon! The young and 'not quite' old of Beech Street have come together to design a new website which will be going live just in time for the New Year. The new site will feature an updated interface and a completely new design. With contributions from: Board Member Paul Downey (Tech and Social Media) in the design of and maintenance of the previous site, "Revamp Team" of Debra Paul (Vice President), Thomas Payne (Digital Media), and local digital artist Aria (whose Beech Street inspired art will be seen in the backgrounds of the new site), the Beech Street Tech Team has worked diligently for the past few months.
And now for our stage and community lineup for 2023!
After "sleeping with the fishes" due to COVID in 2020, The Sodfather, written by Michael Khashmanian, will be back onstage in March. In June, we'll bring you theatre in the park when we stage The Abbey, written by local playwright John Green. In October we will be bringing the spooky tales of Ghost Walks of Whitby back to the downtown area and in December, we plan to close the year with Christmas Goose, to be performed as a dinner theatre fundraiser for Olivia’s Elves, which will benefit the Dreams and Wishes Children’s Charity.
Of course, we will continue with our community drama programs, which were put on hold during the pandemic, for various groups and charities throughout the year. We have already started up the drama program for the Brain Injury Association of Durham Region (BIAD) and will be going full throttle with them in 2023.
So, welcome to the new website, and let us entertain you in 2023.
We’ll see you all at the theatre!
