The Story: 

The Sodfather, Don Vito Growyourown, rules a powerful criminal organization fronted by a sod growing company. This comedic dinner theatre is a spoof on the Godfather by Mario Puzo. 

 

THERESA GROWYOUROWN: The devoted daughter of Don Vito and his wife Maria. She is the heir to her father’s sod growing Empire.  Although she has a good head for business, her fiery temper gives her parents cause for concern. When Don Vito is found murdered, she must deal with a half brother who has suddenly appeared with aspirations of his own, deal with dangerous rivals to the Family, and solve her father’s murder while trying to secure her title as head of the Family.  A young woman in her mid to late 20’s, Theresa is both beautiful and dangerous

Anthony Buscatoni:                         Consigliere to Don Vito late 20’s to mid 30’s 

Fat Lorenzo:                                     Don Vito’s oldest friend early 60’s to mid 70’s 

Rosamunda ‘Moxie’ Brombilla:      Don Vito’s mistress. Mid 40’s to late 50’s 

Sal Tirapugni:                                   Soldier in the Family business. Any age. 

Father O’Grady:                               Parish priest. Mid 30’s or older 

Frank Montenetti:                            Rival of Don Vito . Aged 45 plus 

Angelo Donetelli:                            Rival of Don Vito. Aged 45 plus 

Rocco Pescatorre:                            Soldier in the Family business. Any age. 

Note: There will be regular readings of the play in anticipation of performances starting up as soon as COVID conditions permit.
